The Focus Website Maintenance team is an experienced collective of industry professionals with extensive web industry knowledge
So, who are you trusting to take care of your website?
We are a talented, patient, understanding and hugely knowledgeable team of professionals who want to make sure that your web presence works perfectly for you. Most of us have been in the web business for much of our careers, so we're able to establish a relationship both with you and with your website that you can be sure will be a very positive one.
Here's a brief run-down of the key players in the Focus team...
MATT COOPER - LAMP Developer
Matt has been developing web applications for many years and has contributed positively to many Open Source projects and, recently, he released a website engine to his main company, H18 Limited, for use in the rapid development of websites. His skills in the debugging of PHP applications as formidable.
Matt is happiest when seated in front of his array of monitors staring into the scary depths of the command line interface. When not in developer mode, Matt is often blatting about the Essex countryside on Bertha, his big yellow motorbike, or reading and supping cider in one of his local watering holes.
JIM RAYFIELD - Designer
Jim's role as designer with Focus Website Maintenance is crucial to work where attention to the way a website is structured is involved; Jim's pretty good at information architecture and usability. He is a wizard with Photoshop, and will be responsible for the sourcing and processing of images for your website.
Jim is a classically trained designer, picking up a BA in Electronic Media Design at the University of Sunderland and has been in the industry for 5 years. Lateral thinker, problem solver and detail obsessive, Jim can found in front on his Mac nose pressed against the screen checking each pixel is where it needs to be. Enjoys going to art galleries, film and gigs that make his ears hurt.
PAUL BARKE - Front-end/Client Services
Paul is our liaison to you the customer. He likes to keep a friendly and productive relationship with all of our clients, to make sure that you are getting all that you should from our maintenance services. Paul is also our trainee in all things website, learning the 'dark arts' from Matt so that he can be as knowledgeable as possible when it comes to looking after your web interests.
Paul is very much a people person, having studied music performance at university he is at his happiest when working closely with people too meet specific goals. Naturally he enjoys his music very much, and in his spare time writes and records his own songs. Paul also teaches music at a rock school in the evenings.
NICK GRIMSHAW - Disaster Recovery Engineer
Nick has a fearsome repertoire featuring languages like PHP, Java, Ruby, XHTML, CSS, XSLT, Python, C, C++, Perl, Lua, Lisp and Tk (he'd have you believe that he could only wing-it with some of those, but we're not fooled).
He works with us in a support capacity, planning the development of long-term strategic goals and security considerations for our systems and those of our clients.
